Your Type Rating Instructor Course
Available on Airbus, Boeing and ATR
Open Climb Aviation is able to train you toward the Type Rating Instructor rating on the following aircraft:

TRI (A) on Airbus A320, A330/350 and A340
-
TRI (A) on Boeing B737, B757/767 and B777/787
-
TRI (A) on ATR 42/72
At Open Climb, we train you with three main objectives in mind:

Help you acquired the knowledge required following the EASA Standards

Give you the operational skills the airlines seeks

And adapt the pace of training to your flight experience
Your TRI is Composed of 4 Phases
1
TEACHING & LEARNING
25 Hours
-
This phase of of your Type Rating Instructor Training is aimed at teaching you the fundamentals and techniques of instructing other pilots.

You can receive credits for this part of the training if you hold or have already held an instructor rating.

TECHNICAL TRAINING
10 Hours
This includes:
-
a revision of the technical knowledge specific to your aircraft
-
the preparation of lesson plans, and
-
the development of classroom /simulator instructional skills.

FLIGHT INSTRUCTION
10 Hours
Performed on the specific Full Flight Simulator (FFS).

ASSESSMENT OF COMPETENCE
3 Hours
The assessment is performed on the specific aircraft Full Flight Simulator (FFS) where you'll have to demonstrate your ability to teach a training session including briefing and debriefing.
Requirements to Start your Type Rating Instructor Course
To enrol in the Multi Pilot Aeroplane Type Rating Instructor (TRI MPA) course, you must meet at least the following conditions:

Hold a valid CPL, MPL or ATPL

Have completed 1,500 hours flight time as a pilot on multi-pilot aeroplane; and
-
have completed, within the 12 months preceding the date of completion, 30 route sectors, including take-offs and landings, as PIC or co-pilot on the applicable aeroplane type (15 sectors may be completed in an FFS representing that type).
