Our Objectives for Your
ATR 42/72 Type Rating Training
The Airbus ATR 42/72 Type Rating is valid to fly on both the ATR 42 and ATR 72.
You can choose whether you would like to train on the ATR 42 or 72. Then, just a difference course will be required to fly on both airplane.

Requirements to Start your Type Rating
To enrol in the ATR 42/72 Type Rating course, you must meet at least the following conditions:

Hold a valid CPL with 70 hours PIC

Hold a valid Multi Engine Instrument Rating (IRME)

Have completed an MCC Course

Hold a valid ATPL(A) Theoretical knowledge exam

Have completed an Advanced Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) course (only if it is your first MPA type rating)
-
Hold a valid Class 1 Medical certificate
-
Have a minimum of Level 4 in English proficiency
MCC COURSE

ATR 42/72 TYPE RATING
If you do not already have completed your MCC course, Open Climb Aviation gives you the opportunity to complete directly on our Fixed Based Simulator.
You will be train from day to the specificities of the aircraft which will give you more confidence and a thorough knowledge of the systems and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
